1. Who we are
Weeknight Win (the “Service”) is operated by ModusBridge (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use weeknightwin.com.
2. What we collect
When you create an account or use the Service, we collect:
- Account information. Email address, name, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile information Google provides.
- Preferences. Your dietary restrictions, favorite cuisines, household size, and similar preferences you choose to share.
- Activity. Recipes you save, like, plan, or import; ingredients in your grocery list; meals you mark as cooked.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, and similar information that any modern web app receives.
3. How we use it
- To run the Service — store your recipes, build your grocery list, sync your meal plan.
- To personalize recipe suggestions based on your preferences.
- To send you essential transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets).
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or technical problems.
We do not use your data to train AI models, sell it to data brokers, or share it with advertisers.
4. Affiliate partners
When you click Shop on Instacart or Shop on Walmart, your browser is redirected to those services with affiliate tracking parameters. The affiliate platform (Impact) records the click so we can earn commission if you buy. Your name, email, or grocery list contents are not sent to Instacart, Walmart, or Impact through this flow — only the click event itself.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for authentication (so you stay signed in) and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking.
6. Data sharing
The only third parties we share data with are infrastructure providers that need it to deliver the Service:
- Supabase — database hosting (your account, recipes, preferences).
- Vercel — application hosting and serverless compute.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and standard data-processing agreements. We do not share data with anyone else.
7. Your rights
- Access. You can view and download your data from your account settings.
- Deletion. You can delete your account at any time. All associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
- Correction. You can update your information from your account settings.
- Portability. Email hello@weeknightwin.com for an export of your data.
Residents of California (CCPA), the EU/UK (GDPR), and other jurisdictions with applicable data-protection laws have additional rights — contact us and we'll help.
8. Children
Weeknight Win is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll remove it.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic is served over HTTPS. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email and post a notice on the site at least 30 days before they take effect.
