Ingredients

  • 2 cupschickpeas
  • 1 largeonion
  • 2 mediumtomato
  • 1 inchginger
  • 2 clovesgarlic
  • 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1 teaspooncoriander powder
  • 1 teaspoongaram masala
  • 2 mediumgreen chilies
  • 2 tablespoonsoil
  • to tastesalt

Instructions

    Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.

    Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

    Add minced ginger and garlic, and sauté for 2 more minutes.

    Stir in the chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Cook until tomatoes are soft.

    Add coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

    Add chickpeas and about a cup of water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes.
