Ingredients

  • 1 cupsplit yellow lentils (moong dal)
  • 1 mediumonion
  • 1 mediumtomato
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoonsghee or oil
  • to tastesalt

Instructions

    Wash and boil dal with turmeric and salt until soft.

    In a separate pan, heat ghee/oil and sauté cumin seeds until they splutter.

    Add chopped onions and cook until golden.

    Stir in chopped tomatoes and minced garlic; cook until tomatoes soften.
