Ingredients

  • 2 cupsBasmati rice
  • 1 kgChicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 largeOnion, sliced
  • 1 cupYogurt
  • 1 cupMint leaves
  • 1 cupCilantro
  • 2 tbspGinger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbspBiriyani masala
  • to tasteSalt
  • 3 tbspGhee

Instructions

    Marinate chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, biriyani masala, and salt for at least 1 hour.

    Fry onions in ghee until golden brown and set half aside for garnishing.

    In the same pot, add marinated chicken and cook until done.

    Boil water and cook rice until 70% done. Drain.

    Layer cooked chicken and rice, sprinkle mint and cilantro, and top with fried onions.
