Ingredients
- 4 piecesveal shanks
- 1 cupwhite wine
- 2 cupschicken broth
- 1 largeonion
- 2 mediumcarrots
- 2 stalkscelery
- 2 tbsptomato paste
- 2 clovesgarlic
- 3 tbspolive oil
- to tastesalt
- to tastepepper
Instructions

In a large pot, heat olive oil and brown the veal shanks on all sides. Remove from pot.

In the same pot, sauté chopped onion, carrots, and celery until softened.

Add garlic and tomato paste, cook for another minute.

Deglaze the pot with white wine, scraping up any browned bits.
